The UEFA Champions League semi-finals are here, with the four remaining teams bidding for a spot in the final at Wembley.

Bayern Munich are looking to avoid a first trophyless season since 2011/12, with European glory being the only route for Thomas Tuchel’s side to maintain their incredible streak.

The Bavarians can join AC Milan as seven-time kings of the continent – a figure that would place them second in the all-time rankings behind only Real Madrid, their opponents in the semi-finals.

Madrid, eyeing a 15th European crown, are this season being powered by the heroics of midfielder Jude Bellingham, who’ll be facing off with England team-mate Harry Kane.

The last time the Champions League final was hosted at England’s national stadium in 2013, Bayern’s opponents during a 2-1 victory were fellow Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund – and a rematch could be on the cards.

Dortmund progressed from the quarter-finals with an unlikely comeback against Atletico Madrid and next face Paris Saint-Germain, who also produced a turnaround against one of La Liga’s finest.

The reigning champions of France defeated Barcelona – as head coach Luis Enrique and winger Ousmane Dembele haunted their former club – as they continue their chase for a first Champions League crown.

Bayern Munich host Real Madrid at Allianz Arena in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League semi-final tie on Tuesday, April 30.
