There are multiple reports in Italy that Juventus directors will meet Paul Pogba’s representatives on Monday to discuss a return as a free agent from Manchester United.

The midfielder is out of contract from July 1 and seems to have no intention whatsoever of signing a new deal to remain at Old Trafford.

While there have been consistent reports of a Juve comeback, Sky Sport Italia, Goal.com and Sportitalia now all claim a meeting has been set up for Monday May 16.

With the death of agent Mino Raiola, it is now Rafaela Pimenta who will deal with Pogba’s situation going forward.

Pimenta is expected to be in Turin on Monday to discuss the situation with Juventus directors and analyse the proposal on the table.

Sportitalia maintain Juve can only offer €7-8m per season wages, which is considerably less than Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain could provide.

However, the Bianconeri hope Pogba will follow his heart and return to the club where he was happiest, playing between 2012 and 2016 before his €105m sale to Manchester United.

Ciro Immobile looks increasingly likely to miss Lazio’s Serie A showdown against Juventus on Monday evening.

According to the latest reports from the training ground, Immobile’s ankle continues to cause problems after the win over Sampdoria.

He has been struggling for a while with this issue and the centre-forward is still not in full training with the rest of his teammates.

There was some progress today, as Immobile put on his football boots and had a light jog around the ground, whereas for the last few days he was only in the gym and undergoing physiotherapy.

The good news is that the right ankle is no longer swollen, but the pain remains and tomorrow’s fitness test will be crucial.

Pedro has returned to full training after a month out with a right calf strain, but it remains to be seen who Maurizio Sarri will use upfront against his former club.

Felipe Anderson was tested in a False 9 role, while Jovane Cabral is another option.

Lazio have plenty to play for, as they are currently in fifth place and facing competition for that Europa League spot from Roma, Fiorentina and Atalanta.
