Pierre Gasly was fourth for Alpine with team-mate Esteban Ocon also in the top 10 for Alpine.
Max Verstappen could only go fourth fastest, despite being only 0.240s off the pace, although this was a more positive outcome for Red Bull than that of Sergio Perez, who was in P13.
