Lakers Had 'Internal Discussions' To Acquire Kyrie Irving Earlier In Season

Members of the Los Angeles Lakers organization had “internal discussions” over acquiring Kyrie Irving earlier this season, sources told Ian Begley of SNY.

The discussions took place while Irving was not able to play home games due to the COVID vaccine mandate.

Irving also did not play road games because of the Nets’ choice to sit him.

Begley adds that it is unclear whether the Lakers reached a consensus on acquiring Irving.
