Napoli fans gathered outside the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona to pay tribute to their icon a year on from his death.
El Pibe de Oro died of heart failure at the age of 60 on November 25, 2020 in Argentina.
Today is therefore the one-year anniversary of his passing and the Stadio San Paolo was renamed the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona in his honour just a few days later.
Just like a year ago, ultras and regular fans in Naples gathered outside the arena and under his mural in the city with flares and flags, singing the songs that had accompanied him on his way to winning two Serie A titles with the club.
