Rio 2016 Olympic Games welcomes sailors

The racing for Rio 2016 Olympic Games will start from 8th August 2016 with the RS:X windsurf events on the Pao de Acucar course at Guanabara Bay. From 14th – 18th August 2016 the first medal races will take place with two races per day when the 49er and 49erFX finals will bring the regatta to a close.

This Olympics is made only for all round sailors because of its diversity of the racing track which will help all-rounder’s to achieve the podium because of the three courses inside the Guanabara Bay and two in Open Ocean.
