Jeet Kune Do, abbreviated JKD, is an eclectic and hybrid martial art system and philosophy of existence established by the martial artist Bruce Lee (1940–1973) in 1967 with easy and direct, or uncomplicated, actions and non-classical type. Jeet Kune Do practitioners feel in minimal actions with highest results and serious pace. The system functions by using various “instruments” for various conditions, where by the conditions are divided into ranges, which is kicking, punching, trapping, and grappling, where by martial artists use procedures to circulation effortlessly amongst them. It is referred to as “a type without the need of type” or “the art of battling without the need of battling” as explained by Lee himself. As opposed to extra common martial arts, Jeet Kune Do is not mounted or patterned, and is a philosophy with guiding feelings. It was named for the notion of interception or attacking though one’s opponent is about to attack. On the other hand, the name Jeet Kune Do was typically explained by Lee to be just a name. In 2004, the Bruce Lee Basis made the decision to use the name Jun Fan Jeet Kune Do (振藩截拳道) to refer to the martial arts system that Lee established “Jun Fan” was Lee’s Chinese provided name.
